Fuck ICE Wee Coffee size Mug-Benefiting the ACLU

$75.00
sold out

50% of the proceeds for this mug will be donated to American Civil Liberties Union.

Each of my mugs starts out with a clay slab that I have imprinted with one of my custom textures. No two are exactly the same. They are handmade in my home studio in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle and high fired in my kiln powered by solar energy.

This one has a lovingly crafted message that I carved into a linoleum block.

All of my mugs start out as a flat slab that I texture before building.

Mug measures 2.75 inches tall and 3 inches across and holds 8 ounces of your favorite beverage.

After the mug is constructed, I let it sit until it is bone dry. I then apply an underglaze wash over the entire piece. When that is dry, I gently remove the underglaze to leave it only in the recessed areas to emphasize the texture. The piece then goes through its first firing (bisque). It is then rinsed, the bottom waxed, and the entire piece dipped in a food-safe clear glaze. It is dishwasher and microwave safe.
